It's chaos here, between kitchen fitters, plumbers, and electricians.

They have been the tidiest, hardworking, polite workmen I've had in the house for some time, well except for the electrician. He sucks his teeth a lot. Nothing is simple, and I did have to tell him how he could fix one of the issues. I think he is inexperienced and needs to learn a better manner.

Cooking has been easy. We have the sitting room set up with a work bench, and last night, we had airfried dumplings with cold water noodles and steamed vegetables with an Asian sauce. No takeaways are needed.

The days are long, and we are up with the lark. The noise grates, but I know getting out helps. The break in the weather came at the wrong time, although it does make the best dark, flat skies which make all other colours pop. Look how pretty my city is.
