Ugly Flower Arrangement

I'd wanted to baptise my new ikebana vase and had the idea of using Spring flowers to do it - but it didn't work. Before you actually do the arrangement you need to have it all worked out in your head. And the choice of flowers matters.

I took Cecily out this afternoon travelling down Butt Hole Lane on to the Garendon estate. The blackthorn was still in blossom. Over the motorway bridge on to the estate, white and blue bluebells were already out. I made my way to the Bavarian Arch which I haven't visited for quite a while. See the extra. Annoyingly, I missed out the top of the cross and will have to go again.

I collected muscari and bluebells on the way back. The forget-me-not was not willing to be plucked.

I didn't take Basil as I thought it would be too far for him to walk although he did get two walks with Len today.
