The Servant King…

We’re just back from a joint churches service to remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, knowing what lay ahead of him the next day. Before the meal Jesus chose to wash the feet of his disciples, normally the role of a servant. A very humbling experience for his friends and an example of how we are loved by Jesus, this servant king.

This painting is of my nephew in a modern depiction of the same situation as the disciples, having his feet washed, receiving love and care from Jesus.

I wanted to share our evening. Tomorrow is Good Friday.
