I made trellis number two this morning. Then worked out how to disguise the fact that I cut some wires too long in trellis number one. But I'm going to wait for a tall weekend visitor to help put that right.

Someone I haven't seen for around five years got in touch yesterday to arrange to visit me - asap. A bit odd, and I did wonder whether he wanted something from me. He came this afternoon, bearing lovely tulips, some hummus he'd made and a Kurdish walnut and fruit delicacy I'd never come across before. It was great to catch up and I realised he'd been told my diagnosis by a mutual friend and wanted to see for himself whether I was OK. (For the record, I am.)

As a long shot, I advertised on Freegle last week for a rucksack waistbelt because my otherwise-favourite rucksack doesn't have one. Today, success! Walking home from collecting it I spotted Secondborn cycling back from work and I welcomed our short debrief in the cycle lane.
