SIX

Six of our Thursday ballet group went to the Penny Bun at Asquith for a long and leisurely lunch.
We ate indoors but had our final coffee or cocktail outside, warm enough to take off an extra layer.
Then to Lynne’s for an hour in her garden before we went to watch a live screening of SIX, a musical l’ve never seen on stage. We loved it so positive and affirming, ten fabulous performers and musicians, all women.
Now want to see it on stage.
Given a lift home and we passed the newly completed roundabout on the edge of my village to support the new house building that will be taking place for the next eight years.
The village fought against this construction for so long but lost the battle and a big chunk of green belt has gone forever.
The roundabout was started in 2023 and the final traffic lights were removed this afternoon. For all this time it has added anything from 10 to 35 minutes to every journey and l pass there and back nearly every day. 
To say we are all relived is an understatement.
