Tithe Barn

Our large village still has its Manor House and across the road is this Tithe barn. In medieval times everyone gave a tenth of their harvest to the church. (A 10% tariff if you like?!). I was up at dawn for a voluntary shift. Pre Easter races were taking place at Prestbury Park. We worked in the garden this afternoon and were delighted to see our hibernating hedgehog stir from its winter slumbers and do a lap of our garden before disappearing under our neighbours fence!
