Number147

Thursday

This sign, and two others, are at the wrong pound.

The swans are two pounds down.

They laid at least one egg and nowhere near a nest. It was just lying, abandoned, on the edge of the bank.

The pair recognise me and immediately leave whatever they are doing to seek out my bag of premium duck and swan food. I don't think they would both leave any nest of eggs unattended for food.

Hetty sits and watches. She doesn't worry the swans and they don't worry Hetty.

I feed them as quickly as possible because the cob is a bit snatchy and snappy.

After lunch, I made some birthday cards, sorted out the mess under my bed and took my strimmer down onto the cutting banks.

I'm about to post my cards. A little extra outting for the dog as she's only just returned from a throw around at the park.
