Not Feeling So Blue About Being Superseeded

Today's image was taken on a joint local photographic safari with my brother. It was only a small stroll of about a mile and initially I wasn't seeing anything at all but sometimes I just end up overthinking it and get frustrated.
So I decided to try and simplify my shot for today and when I saw these super sized seed heads which appeared almost golden in the afternoon light against the striking navy blue of the wooden hoarding, with all its knots and grains, in the background I felt happier with the result than I would do normally - so there was no need to feel blue about being superseded! :-)

With everything that's going on in the word at the moment I was looking for a more hopeful or happier story for my blip when I came across the tale of Hope the sheep.
March has been a transformative month for Hope, a Wilstshire born sheep. When she arrived at Lotus Lamb & Sheep Sanctuary at the beginning of the month she was considerably worst for wear - struggling to stand and in critical condition. The West Sussex sanctuary, which rehabilitates animals rescued from extreme cases of neglect and abuse, took her in and treated her - and with the help of a sheep-sized wheelchair she has gone from wobbling to zooming around on her new set of wheels.
The sanctuary's founder Hayley Hubbard has said she was initially unsure how Hope would respond to treatment but said she is now doing amazingly well with her new set of wheels as she runs around the sanctuary's field. The triumph of Hope over adversity!
In more glad tidings Hope's story has led the sanctuary to exceed its initial £800 fundraising goal for her wheelchair and means it can continue to raise money to help with her ongoing vet bills.
