Long Distance Donkey

Meet Adam and his friendly donkey Martin. We met them as they passed by church on their final stretch of the Southern Upland Way.

They started on the East Coast at Cockburnspath and almost 4 weeks later arrived in rather soggy Portpatrick.  Well done!

It was rather special to meet a donkey during Holy Week. We are halfway, 4 services out of 8 completed! That's our own marathon!

I was impressed by the joy and gentle kindness that the pair seemed to generate around them.
