In amongst the dandelions

Before I mowed the lawn with the new lawnmower that I picked up last night!

Today a few people were meeting Hannah (on her C2C cycle) at Derwent Water for a swim at around 4pm and everyone else seemed to be away so no swimming here today. And although I had a slight notion of joining the others in Derwent …. I was just too happy staying at home and being at home not rushing anywhere, just doing bit and pieces as I felt and … being at home!
(Although I did feel the race was on to cut all three lawns before the rain came. I needed to cut each lawn about five times, gradually taking the long grass back down to being short! The lawnmower battery lasted for my two lawns but ran out at moms. So as I put it on charge I weeded a bit. Then did mom’s lawn. Very pleased with the mower so far. It’s nice not having to faf with a cord and extension cables etc. :)
