Rock Carvings from 1851

LS and I hiked the bridle trail from Ledge Lake to Worden's Ledges in Hinckley Reservation.  It was cold and windy with some snow flakes, but we soldiered on.  Wildflowers were abundantly seen but closed due to the cloudy conditions that lasted just until we stopped hiking when the sun came out. 

Extras show more carvings (T.Cobb, cross and bible, unknown, George Washington, pharoah) and a stunning great blue heron.

We had lunch at Foster's Tavern then wandered around GreenSmith  Nursery and Garden Center.  Purchases were made...including the incredible homemade pretzels dipped in chocolate with more gooey goodies inside.
