The Chair

My dad had been lent this chair in his latter years, a riser recliner in order to facilitate him not only sitting in comfort but to help him stand up. It has been relegated to the garage in 2022 and was in a sorry state.

Robert flew over from Florida to see his Grandma in hospital and we drove up from Gloucestershire to see her. 

The hospital meanwhile wanted to know what things mum might need when she finally could go home. We took up the vax upholstery cleaner to clean the chair and a tape measure to give them the info they needed along with photographs with a view to her sleeping downstairs. At least this time round I know more what I'm doing.

We then spent the afternoon at the hospital with her which she was really appreciative of, showing her many many pictures of her great grandson in phonebooks I'd made and on Rob's phone which were more recent.  At least all the pictures jogged her memory a bit of people and events. We then drove home.

Tired? I should say so! 

A back blip
