Home again, home again jiggity jig...
We visited our friend's Alan and Gail for lunch today along with brother in law Kenny (Ele is still in Spain) and friend Keith, before D, Alan, Kenny and Keith went to play golf at Dunbar.
Gail made the most delicious carrot and bacon soup and a wonderful array of sandwiches and wraps, followed by a platter of miniature brownies, flapjacks and caramel shortbread.
I could have taken many photos of their beautiful garden full of glorious spring colour, or pics of all the lovely little Easter touches she had dotted around her beautiful home. I could even have blipped the gorgeous figures they brought back from their recent trip to South Africa, but I didn't do any of that because I was too busy having a great time sitting in their beautiful conservatory, chatting to Gail, drinking coffee and getting a lovely surprise when Natalie (Gail's neighbour and friend, also now my friend) popped in for an hour. I haven't seen Natalie for ages so that was really nice.
Despite getting caught in a couple of rain showers (last week they were playing in shorts!) the guys enjoyed the golf. Kenny and Keith headed off after the golf but D and I stayed at Alan and Gail's for dinner where one minute it was 9pm and suddenly it was 10.30pm. How time flies when you're having fun.
So, all I have to offer is a blip taken from the car on the way home. I did try to capture the lit up Kelpies on the way past but they were just a blur.
