Seriously?

another day

Today I drove to Hockley, to Lyn and Keith, for lunch. It was lovely to talk to friends over a leisurely meal - saw Lyn last month but haven't seen Keith since, the last century - 30 years probably - and yet so quickly it feels like only yesterday.

I didn't take any photos in Hockley, but I did take the woofer for a second walk around 7pm, and today's pic is one of the shots I grabbed then,

On this day in history:
1874: First Impressionist Art exhibition opened in Paris It features Monet, Degas, Pissarro, Renoir and Morisot.

"Try to forget what objects you have before you - a tree, a house, a field, or whatever. Merely think, 'Here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow,' and paint it just as it looks to you, the exact color and shape, until it gives you your own impression of the scene before you."
- Claude Monet (1840-1926)
