Nostalgia
Today was my only chance to check out the exhibition mentioned in yesterday's blip, so I hopped on a bus to my old stomping ground and walked down Byres Road past the iconic University Café.
I remember tasting the delicious Italian ice-cream for the first time at the age of 12, when we'd just arrived in Glasgow. My mother, who'd been away from her home city for 17 years, was thrilled to recognise the man behind the counter who'd been just a young boy when she'd left.
Extra 1 - the now derelict building in the corner of Byres Road and Torness Street, which housed the swimming baths that I frequented.
Extra 2 - part of the Peking Opera Company exhibition
Extra 3 - Cat and Lulabel's adorable new member of the family - 10-week-old Saffy
Off to Troon tomorrow for a few days...
