Growing - apace

No apologies for another garden collage today. I haven't been outside the confines of the garden, but I have been busy. I've done a peloton workout, I've worked, and latterly I did a bit of gardening (well, weeding - still the side garden; it's endless). This evening, much needed rain has been falling on the garden for a couple of hours. It seems that the next few days will be quite wet. Ah well, we've had our spring.

These pictures are to record just how quickly a lot of things are springing up...notably the peony, which is already through the growing support we've provided it with. Top left we have a red turtlehead that is coming back in the side garden, close by the molinia transparent, which also disappeared completely overwinter. I looked at it a couple of days ago, and the shoots were barely visible. Now most of them are a good two inches long. (top right).

Bottom left are the two garlic plants we hope will yield bulbs. They were just a speculative plant of a couple of sprouting cloves by Mr A last summer. In addition, the parsley patch is coming along nicely, replacing the vigorous parsley plant we had last summer which did not survive the winter (having survived the previous one...). Finally, in the middle on the right is something Mr A purchased the other day from the garden centre. I honestly cannot remember what it is, but it has a marker so not to worry. I can check.

Amidst my online meetings, it was periodically difficult to concentrate, as we took delivery of the new cooker mid afternoon. The delivery went smoothly and Mr A made use of the cooker this evening - or at least the oven. He's yet to use the induction hob. That'll come soon, I'm sure.
