To Rotterdam!

Friends will know I like to go to somewhere I have never been for my birthday. This decade has been challenging so far but this year we have made it! 

We were up at an ungodly hour to get to St Pancras for the Eurostar, followed by a very easy journey including a change of trains in Brussels. We arrived in Rotterdam before we could check in to our accommodation so we left the luggage in lockup and set to wandering around this this fabulous city! It was badly bombed during the war because it was a big port, so there’s an interesting mix of old and new - extras include the main train station and the Markthal. 

Our accommodation is a lovely apartment with a very comfortable bed - much appreciated after the early start.
