Ferruginous Hawk.

V and I went to a Falconry Centre this afternoon.

I'm not really over keen on seeing birds in captivity but allegedly all the ones we saw were bred in captivity. The main advantage is that you can get close to them and you should be able to take decent photographs.

This bird is a male Ferruginous Hawk which is native to North America.
