Bridge 3 - Middlewich Branch

Paul and I continued with the geocaches along the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union canal today. Given the weather forecast we were happy that the rain held off. It was another successful day and we reached Barbridge so next time we are going to do the caches on the Main Line between Barbridge and Nantwich. 

This is bridge 3, Sandholes Bridge, another Grade II listed bridge. It was built around 1827 and is an accommodation bridge which means it was built to preserve the route of an already existing right of access.
