Grumpy Old Man

Heavy rain

Heavy rain across Argyll today, according to the forecast in the 'Herald' yesterday. Then how come I've been sitting out on the deck this afternoon, dozing in the brilliant sunshine? How can forecasts be so wrong?

I walked down town this morning for an appointment with the physio at the doctor's practice. I checked four different weather forecasts before I went and they all agreed that rain wasn’t going to be around anytime soon, though one said it would rain in two hours and another said it was 62 kilometres away. Another said that an umbrella wouldn't be needed, but a heavy overcoat would be! I took a gamble with a fleece and even then was quite warm! I would hate to have a job where I was wrong so often!

I had half an hour to wait for a prescription at the chemist so strolled along the beach and took several photos. I walked round to the North Pier where I watched the ‘Coruisk’, standing in on the Mull run, coming into the pier - my Blip today. Lovely sky with billowing clouds.

Now I’m back out into the sunshine. Rosie the cat came out with me for a while, but soon went back indoors into the shade!
