Mom -1938

Today is Mom's 103rd heavenly birthday.  This is a photo her brother took when she was just 16.  He was beginning his studies at Cornell University, and he must have been taking a photography class.  I have the print he made that Mom always kept.  I restored it the best I could.  She looks so young, so happy.  The world was in turmoil and would soon erupt into a war that would claim millions of lives but for this one moment she was at peace; she was happy. Unfortunately, I feel no peace with the world we live in now.   (I posted my first photo on Blip today too, in 2014.)
