(104) Ocean Cloud

As forecast, the weather has changed today and it's pretty chilly down at the coast, in Kirkcaldy. I had some time to kill before my dentist appointment so I had a short walk along the prom and took a few photos looking out over the River Forth. The clouds were quite impressive and rain showers could be seen at various points along the horizon.

The blip title isn't entirely accurate as the photo shows clouds over the River Forth, not an ocean. However, I had music playing on a random shuffle while sorting through photos and it just happens that this song by Marillion kicked in at the right time. The song tells the story of Don Allum, who was the first person to row across the Atlantic Ocean in both directions. “Ocean Cloud” is based on his almost fatal third crossing of the Atlantic from Newfoundland to Ireland in 1987.
