Pasque flower hunting

Thankfully today was sunny, which helps my mood tremendously. I drove up behind Happy Jack to wander around and look for pasque flowers. It's a little early but I was so excited to find two small clumps of them. I love these soft furry spring flowers. I was amazed to see other tiny, prairie wildflowers really doing well. There are the small, yellow Sagebrush Buttercups that were everywhere. The ones in my extra were happily growing out of a pile of elk poo...lol. And the small ground daisies also were very prolific. They grow more on the flats where the buttercups and pasques seem to like the gentle hillsides. It was a glorious wander around up there.
