Windy Acer

About 25 years ago, my youngest son then aged about 7years, persuaded his mother to buy me an inexpensive Japanese Maple, no bigger than a twig. Ever with an eye for a bargain, he had noticed me fancying an expensive larger mature tree in a garden centre and thought this a good (inexpensive) alternative. We planted it in our front garden and since then it has been known as Rhodri’s twig.
Over the years it has matured into an attractive tree of about 2.5m but it is still know as Rhodri’s twig. Today, the twig was blowing gently in the breeze.
