Well Done Ziggy

After our normal obedience class, this evening, Ziggy and I joined 5 others being examined for the Bronze Good Citizen Dog Award, which was created by the UK Kennel Club.
Four of us passed the exercises, two failed on a single exercise but will be retaking it next time.
Ziggy was a star, he did everything dead right, although he stood up, about one second too early, when I returned to him after a 'Stay' for one whole minute. (Stay when you are going back to the dog, Wait when you are going to tell the dog to come to you).
I was so proud of him, this was his ninth lesson and to do the examination straight afterwards was no mean feat.
I had a part in it too, I had to show i was able to groom him, inspect for any lumps and bumps, examine his paws, ears and teeth, and raise his tail (as if she was going to take his temperature, the examiner said!). I was asked a couple of questions "What does a dog need from you" and "What might make you think your dog is not well". Luckily I knew what to say so I passed too.  :-)
