Williamson Park

The view from the site of the old observatory in Williamson Park . Through the trees you can see the memorial that Lord Ashton built to his wife in 1909. The observatory had been there since the 1880s but fell into disuse once it was realised the enormous memorial blocked the sky. 
We were exploring the Park after another hospital trip for Mr P.
