Nautical mug rug

I was asked to make a mug rug for a little girl in blue and as she likes mermaids I did a nautical theme. The backing is waves and the binding is whales. Finally started to quilt my Japanese ladies quilt. I have curtains to make so it was a chose between quilting or curtains. Guess what won in the end.
