Waiting Their Turn
I only have 5 places I can hang quilts in this house, so the rest have to live somewhere, and the only place I have for that is a tall skinny shelving unit in my bedroom where they are folded and squeezed in with each other. That is not good. Quilts should not be folded as it causes creases in them and that is not good for the quilt. But what can I do?
And that shelving unit is not exactly lovely bedroom decor. Obviously for the photo, I turned it sideways to make a better fit for my journal posting; I wish I could do the same with the shelving unit itself!
After Easter, it will be time to change the quilt in the living room and they are already vying for my attention. It is always a hard decision for me. I love them all, but only one of them will be pleased and the others will be disappointed..once again. If only I had more walls!
The day was quite quiet, as is evident in my choosing to post a pile of quilts (!) but elsewhere, there was lots of action.
Out in the gardens, Shawn was doing the final spring clean-up and fertilizing what little grass I have left out there. (extra) When I went out to check what he had done, I spied little blue dots in the grass. Aha! My little scilla are sprouting and soon there will be a carpet of blue out there! Not nearly the vibrant display of the bluebells you see in the UK, but pretty good for my humble garden!
I did some more work in emptying old photo albums and weeding through the photos. I have now done 12 albums with about 10 more to go. The next challenge will be how and where to file and store the actual loose photos! This project has a way of creating more projects!
I spent a lot of time reading my book Here One Moment, and am thoroughly enjoying it. And of course, two more books that were on my "hold" list at the library showed up...it never fails...So much to read, so little time....
(Am hoping this posting goes..I lost my first attempt as Blip went "down"? Don't want to rewrite it all again! )
