Illuminated To Produce Dark Figures

This particular entry was taken as I made my way to the bedroom. There is an uplighter located behind ‘the pulpit’ which is on all day and everyday.

The pulpit is the main fluted shape and the figure is a sculpture. We had  just completed watching the Bahrain Formula 1 qualifying highlights.

All of our artificial lighting is ‘low energy’ and some lights are left on overnight, just in case we need to wander about to attend to pressing matters.

I keep a spreadsheet which is filled each day and records how much electrical energy has been used.  There are four separate meters which are recorded.

Our energy usage is 10% less than this year compared to the previous year and I suspect this is due to warmer air temperatures outside.

The heating is underfloor throughout and the water is heated by an air source heat pump. There is a second heat pump which is available if required. This year it has never been used.

However, it does consume 1 kilowatt per day, performing various check routines.
