National Memorial Arboretum
A lovely quiet morning at the National Memorial Arboretum.
For the first time, I went on the Land Train, a truck pulled train which tours the perimeter of the huge site, with a commentary. I had my attention drawn to quite a few things I hadn’t noticed before.
My blip is of part of the Royal Navy memorial which I’ve seen and looked closely at so many times. I hadn’t realised that the blue and green glass panels represent the different colours of the world’s oceans. The red and yellow panels represent the sunrise and the sunset with a sole figure standing in respect.
I’ve been so often and every time it feels special.
