Low tide

Sometimes near full moon, the tide falls so low that it's possible to walk in and out of Newquay harbour.  The fishing boats, mainly catching crabs, have to wait until the tide is well up before they can unload their catch.

This was just before we got soaked by a downpour.  It doesn't make any difference to the surfers (extra), and Cornwall is as grateful as the rest of southern England for any rain.  Our clothes are now draped over a heated towel rail.
