Rain Stopped Play... ish

Last night we thought our plans for today were in doubt and sure enough when we arrived at the ferry terminal, current sailings were cancelled, We'd rejigged this part of our trip a fair bit for today to happen so it was disappointing although there's a possibility we can try again in a couple of days time. Instead we went to the local Manga Museum of a local person who had established Manga Comics and Films. The museum was gutted during the tsunami although was still sound, similar to the school on the top right which apparently is the only structure that has not been restored in Japan since then (pupils and teachers did escape ok).

We decided to head up to our next destination but the heavens opened as we drove up, which was fine, we were on the inside. As is common at the coasts we drove through 10s of tunnels and over 10s of bridges, the infrastructure for cars and trains here is outstanding. With the lack of blip opportunities, I decided to take some photos of things that amuse us... vending machines for drinks are everywhere inside and outside. And the amount of these wee cars which I have only ever seen in Japan is surprising, great city cars, why don't they export them, all the car manufacturers here make them.

Anyway, checked into our hotel, here for 2 nights, taking it easy for a bit.
