Smoke Tree/Bush.

Today has been what the weather people on TV describe as breezy, more accurately it would be described as very windy.
Our Smoke bush, Cotinus coggygria comes into leaf late in spring, the pink flowers follow the leaves which are illustrated here. In autumn they turn shades of crimson and orange.
Unfortunately the young branches are very tender and break easily.
Today the wind did it's worst and damaged some branches, before they went into the compost it seemed a good subject to blip.
