St Ouen’s Bay

Drove out west to give the car a run as I’ve not driven it for weeks. This is the wild Atlantic coast, almost five miles of pale sand and a vast sky. It also has plenty of WW2 concrete along its length. This rather complex structure seems to be a fusion of bunker and Jersey granite. The island’s west coast is a fascinating landscape.from both a geographical and historical point of view.

Later, out east for an ice cream with friend Ju. Then I made my first tray of roast potatoes in the new kitchen, for J and I. Had to laugh at myself trying so hard not to make a mess in the shiny new space!

Thanks for your stars, hearts and comments on my seagull blip yesterday, and others this week too. Always appreciated.
