In memory of the great famine in ireland
eyI just happened across this in St Stevens Green this morning,.I have always thought that the bronxes on the Docks in Dublin were very fitting to remember those that died in the great famine,, but there is something very human about this one,, where as the ones on the Docks certainly portray the IMMENSE HARDSHIP endured but this one also shows the humanity in the way one of the figures is offering a drink to the other,,,
The great famine always moves me and we will never know what it could really have been like to endure such hardship,,,, BUT STILL IT GOES ON AROUND THE WORLD
