Plantain
I shall be blipping the mini meadow occasionally from now on so today we have plantain, the first showing. I also spotted two pink campions but I'll save blipping those till more are out. Everything seems further on than this time last year, but then I've heard that before.
It's been a relaxed day with the weather on the change. I filled the drying ground bird feeder; broke off several emerging bracken fronds and checked on last weekend's planting, all good. Then it was time to clean the bath. After lunch I did some strimming and weeding out in the garden and took an old aerial photo of the village up to elderly neighbour M's to ask her about buildings and people. She was very animated and told me lots of stories of village life and people.
Afterwards I took cuppas up to the allotment where Tony has been planting on various seedlings. His grape vine is already showing teeny tiny bunches.
