Lake ice in close up

Today was excellent circumstances for outdoor activities so after the lunch I went to check the conditions of my 11 geocaches at Päihänniemi nature trail. After that I noticed that the water level in Lake Saimaa is currently very low. I was able to walk about 70 meters into the lake with dry feet. There was also some pack ice there, which was nice and clean.

On the way back to home I also visited in one abandoned house, which I had got a tip previously. After that I went to find a geocache nearby in the abandoned old car which is located in the middle of the forest. It required 1,7 kilometers walk one way, but it was very enjoyable walk in silence and beautiful forest.
