The Pensioner

Calm

Over to the dinghy overflow park to strim as we ready the place for next weekend’s lift-in. After 20 minutes I’d run out of trimmer line. Still, I was seen to be doing stuff, so that’s a tick box.
It being a lovely day again, I then retired homeward to weed the garden and cut stuff. It would have all been quite perfect if it wasn’t for the fact that Hearts were away playing the latest of their “must win” games. Of course, they didn’t, and that means we’re in the “bottom six” for the season’s remaining fixtures. I should say that at least that’ll save us being from embarrassed playing the top five teams, but I fear further embarrassments could well be in store.
Then it was off up town to the Cameo to see One to One: John and Yoko. Right from the off, with the 1972 concert footage, you were transported. And then with the clips of footage from those days, you were immersed. Utterly wonderful. But Bradshaw says it better … a film that mixes small screen zeitgeist fragments and madeleine moments, a memory quilt of a certain time and place.
Whoah, yes!! Rock on Tommy!
