Heading into the hills

A 2nd Saturday Strollers day, making the most of marvelous weather. No 27 bus to Hunter's Tryst (which is a pub, almost at the end of the line). 
Walked over the bypass to the meeting point at the Swanston parking area. I was early, and had time for tea in the Brasserie which is in the same building as the golf club house. 

Up first Caerketton Hill, then along to Allermuir Hill, with a sheltered lunch stop, dry enough to just sit on the grass and moss without getting damp.

There's a small herd of Highland cows on the way up; first extra is a black one .. @lovenature "s blip shows the path back down.

Good conversation with various people; 13 in the group, which is a pleasant size. Got a 27 bus back with only a short wait. Great weather - it was windy on the tops (needed the chinstrap on my hat) but not at all cold. T-shirt and light trousers weather. 

Another short walk around the town later to fetch a newspaper and vegetables.
