And Matthew was defeated by Oliver! Only the second time apparently.

A wonderful day and we’ve had time with both families in the same week. Today we took the train to Woodside Park and have had a super time. Matthew was in charge of the pizza oven over dinner. Earlier we’d all sat in the garden in beautiful sunshine, with the occasional try at a game of badminton. It was great to sit and chat with our oldest grandchildren.

Our stay in Sawston earlier this week was equally good. We were doing childcare for Esmée while Théa was at Nursery. Both parents working from home. Work that continued into the evening after family dinner time and bedtime for the girls.

The last stage of our journey home tonight was on a very full and very lively train. Some folk have had an exuberant Saturday!
