Vacant Possession

I did not post this when I put it up earlier in the year. I'd been hoping the motion-detection camera inside (see the power cable) might throw up something interesting but it hasn't happened yet. Yesterday evening it captured an image with a strange, ghostly shadow - maybe it was me fetching the bin in. I'd prefer a more secluded space, but the need for power limits the options. Perhaps, when the Clematis montana starts to tumble over it, it will look more homely from a tit's perspective. Usually, the flowering of the montana is a sign that the year has turned and warm days lie ahead; this year is extraordinary

A picture from the home front because I couldn't face the journey to the more distant apiary. The bees welcomed MrsM alone just as warmly. All is well, and she came back with detailed written notes, made during the inspection! Some people over-deliver

On the othe hand, the honey jars that I ordered for our association were delivered yesterday, all 5,000 of them. Today, I discovered that the consignment has arrived missing 5,000 lids. This could get sticky
