Back at YorkGate

Because l now dance on a Wednesday l am struggling to do my voluntary shifts at York Gate.
My boss has been very understanding and l am working random hours for the meantime. So this weekend l am doing afternoon shifts today and tomorrow.
Parked in a nearby layby to help free up the car park and took a short cut through the church yard before l started. Such a beautiful place.
Not worked a Saturday before and it surprised me that it was less busy than a Wednesday( my usual day).
Good to be back. Met some lovely visitors, enjoyed reading my book at odd intervals and the coffee and cake were excellent as usual.
Had arranged to meet some friends in Ilkley for a couple of drinks early evening.
We sat outside Martinez and had wine , cheese and hummus.
Really good to catch up and enjoyed a couple of very pleasant hours. Had a lift home from L’s hubby and l am planning an early night.
