Compost and beans
A bit cloudier here today, which was what the forecast forecast! Still quite warm, but rain is expected tomorrow which will be a good thing, I think.
Usual Saturday trip to the pier for fresh fish, to the library and some shopping. I did sit outside this morning for a while, but it was a trifle breezy - as I write this at 5pm the sun is brighter than it’s been all day.
Spent some time in the garden and did some potting up. I suddenly realised that the bag of compost I bought at Poppies the other day was lighter than usual - most of the time the bags are saturated as they’re stored outside. I rushed back and bought three more bags before the rain begins.
The Double Gean in our garden, Prunus avium 'Plena', is opening flowers now - always a lovely sight and my Blip today.
Sowed some runner beans which I’ll have to grow in tubs on the deck as I no longer have a veggie bed to use.
Quote of the Day: ‘Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren't enjoying today's sunshine.’ - William Feather.
