A Quick Visit
Not my bike! I don’t think I’d last long on the pot-hole ridden, mad taxi driver, lost tourist driver streets of Edinburgh.
I’d nipped up to the allotment to give the hose its first outing of the year, seeing as April showers have been conspicuous by their absence. Didn’t take long, just a few rows of spuds and the berry beds to water, had a perfunctory poke about with a hoe, headed home to make the tea.
Earlier had sowed some mustard and endive seeds in pots to bring on at home, hoping that the slugs will be less inclined to eat established seedlings when I plant them out. Probably a forlorn hope but worth a go after last year’s devastation!
And we rounded off the day with G & J in the pub. Back to the Tiq, just as noisy as ever (must be a health hazard!) but at least the barmaid was happy to see us.
