Congratulations, Sweet Girl!

Our youngest granddaughter received an award from her school today
This is a photo of her with her first-grade teacher at the 3rd quarter Awards Ceremony.
The elementary school awards ceremony is a big deal at her school, and she was told that she would receive a reward for the first quarter. She was so excited and dressed up in her best dress. My husband and I joined her parents for the ceremony. It turned out that it was a mistake. The award was given to a different girl with a similar name. Our granddaughter was devastated. Her second quarter “award" was a similar disappointment. She didn't want to dress up for today’s ceremonybecause she didn’t think it was real. Her mom encouraged her to dress for the occasion, and she did, finally, get a well-earned reward.
