Easter post box topper

what a lovely day today and yesterday was, so warm did quite a bit of greenhouse work, the tomatoes are all potted up and in there now and the little plants I bought.

Well at around 3am this morning, Paula came into my bedroom asking where the candles were, "Why do you want candles" I ask "Because the Electricity has gone off and the stair lift is blipping and it woke me up" I hadn't noticed because the house in the back street has an outside light which is always on and shines into my bedroom.  Anyhow she had a torch and I had the torch from my phone, we went down and turned off the stair lift alarm. on checking found the whole street was in darkness. Anyhow she made a cup of tea and we went back to bed, except by then I couldn't sleep, and ended up reading my book until after 5.30am.
 In the morning they came dug a huge hole in the road and spent all day fixing the electricity back we finally got it back at around 2.30pm.
What a fiasco. I was worried about the food in the freezer, but it held pretty good I can use up anything I wasn't sure of, like some beef burgers and a chicken breast, I didn't have much in the way of meat products in there, It is pretty well packed  so I think that helped.

I think the weather is on the change saturday some rain expected late on.
