Heirlooms

I was only supposed to be bringing down all the old vinyl records that were up in the loft but rediscovered my Grandad Smith’s crown green bowls so had to liberate them too. He came from a long heritage of Harry Smith’s (hence the initials) and was a bit of a star on the bowling front. I remember all his trophies being in cabinets in the front room when I was little. He taught me how to play when I was a kid but I haven’t had a go since. Given my advanced years and the fact we have a thriving local club maybe this is the summer?
