Tulip time

It’s a new venture in Warwickshire and on a perfect sunny day with glorious blue skies, it was a real treat.

They said there were 500,000 tulips and well over a hundred varieties, and they were patrolled cautiously. 

Children seemed startlingly well behaved. I did think at least one might have run amok but they balanced carefully on the narrow paths. 

It’s not so easy to get a photo that truly captures it. Tickets had sold out for many of the timeslots, and everyone was after the perfect selfie (apart from me, of course though I got a few shadow ones).

A lovely day out, but I wonder what it will be like if this summer weather breaks.
