We went over to Stourhead today (trying to keep Mr W's mind occupied). Being the school holidays, it was really busy so we ate our picnic lunch in the car before setting off for a walk. Instead of going down to the landscaped gardens or up to the house, we took a different route, one that takes us behind the church and the Temple of Apollo and through the woods before coming back through the old airfield (where the actor David Niven was stationed for a while during the Second World War).
It was really peaceful and the bluebells are starting to look fabulous!
