Hazard Reduction

There are some hazard reduction burns taking place which left a nice smokey haze over Blackheath this afternoon. 
 
The Blackheath Community Centre has just undergone an extensive renovation and we attended the re-opening tonight.
There was plenty of wine and nibbles and lots of people. We didn't know as many as in the old days but still managed to catch up with some familiar faces. As you can see from the extra it was quite a classy event.
After several surprisingly interesting speeches the Altitude Ensemble (piano, violin and cello) provided a concert. They were top class.
The hall is the only such facility in the upper mountains so we are very lucky to have it, not to mention such remarkable talent amongst the local residents.
